About me

“Vado e Vedo” hiking e trekking in Tuscany & Sicily

The best way to see the world is by foot!

There’s something magical about walking slowly and observing nature up close. From this passion “Vado e Vedo” was born, a project that combines sustainable exploration, authentic encounters, and the joy of being in good company.

My name is Michele Colombini, and I am a certified Environmental Hiking Guide (Guida Ambientale Escursionista) under L.R. Toscana 42/2000. My mission? To lead you on unforgettable journeys through breathtaking landscapes, offering one-day or multi-day hikes, adventurous treks, and eco-friendly nature and food tours, all while respecting the environment.

My Story: A Life Outdoors

My love for nature began early, at the age of 8, when I joined the C.N.G.E.I. scouts in Pisa. Over the next 14 years, I honed my hiking and survival skills, nurturing a deep passion for outdoor exploration.

The Apuan Alps and the Alpine arc of Italy were my natural “training ground,” where I experienced countless unforgettable adventures. I have a special love for high mountains and their summits, where the world seems to stretch endlessly below. Every journey is an adventure, a backpack on my shoulders guiding me not only to new landscapes but also to the heart and essence of the places I visit.

I don’t just explore; I also capture the beauty of nature through photography and practice meditation and Reiki (Level 1), connecting deeply with the natural world in a holistic and mindful way.

Monte Pisano: A Paradise at Home

Monte Pisano, my home base for hiking, is a magical place, just a short distance from the cities of Pisa and Lucca. These mountains rise like a terrace over Tuscany, offering stunning views of the plains, the sea, the Apennines, and the Apuan Alps. Every trail here tells a story, with vibrant flora and breathtaking panoramas. I have also had the honor of working on trail marking and signposting projects, particularly on the R.E.T. (Tuscany Hiking Network) trails in the San Giuliano Terme municipality (PI) and the historic Via degli Acquedotti.
